At SHIKARDIIZ, we work with high-quality natural fibers that are "alive." To maintain their exceptional softness, breathable texture, and elegant shimmer for years to come, please follow this gentle care ritual.

1. The First Wash (The Awakening) 🛁
   Before dressing your bed for the first time, we recommend a gentle wash. Our Egyptian Cotton and Sateen Jacquard reveal their true soul and ultimate softness only after their first dip in water. It allows the fibers to "breathe" and settle after their journey from our studio to your home.
2. Washing Essentials 🧼
   Temperature: Stick to 40°C (100°F). High temperatures cause natural fibers to "age" prematurely and may affect the longevity of the weave. Only use 60°C if absolutely necessary.
   Inside Out: Always turn your duvet covers and pillowcases inside out before placing them in the machine. This protects the delicate jacquard ornaments and embroidery.
   Detergents: Use mild liquid gels or powders. Avoid all bleaches and harsh chemical brighteners - they are the enemy of natural strength and color.
   Separation: Wash your bedding separately from towels or items with zippers/velcro to avoid friction and pilling.
3. Drying with Care ☁️
   Fresh Air is Best: Natural fabrics adore fresh air and a gentle breeze.
   Avoid Direct Sunlight: Dry your linens in a shaded area. Direct sun can make the fibers brittle and cause colors to fade over time.
   Machine Drying: If using a dryer, choose a low-heat, delicate cycle. Remove while slightly damp to prevent over-drying.
4. Ironing & Storage ✨
   The "Damp" Secret: For a pristine look, iron your linens while they are still slightly moist. This makes the process effortless and keeps the fabric smooth.
   The Natural Look: If you prefer the authentic, relaxed feel of natural cotton, simply hang them straight while wet and fold them neatly once dry - no ironing required!
   Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic bags; natural fibers need to breathe even when they are resting.
